HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary A housekeeper's main responsibility is to provide clean, and comfortable guest rooms in line with the Veridea Group Standards, while ensuring guest satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.
Essential Functions Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going above and beyond and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
Thoroughly and correctly cleans and sets up guest rooms according to Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens.
Removes trash and debris from guest room.
Cleans all surfaces in bathroom area.
Dusts all surfaces.
Replenishes promotional materials/literature.
Ensures alarm clock, telephone, and TV/remote are in working order and programmed properly.
Replenishes room amenities.
Vacuums room.
Follows proper franchise procedures in stay-over rooms.
Completes checkouts in 30 minutes or less.
Completes stayovers in 15 minutes or less.
Reports unusual circumstances to supervisor.
Each housekeeper is responsible for disposing their trash to outdoor receptacle.
Props guest room doors open only when physically present in guest room.
Keeps housekeeping cart flush to guest room wall while cleaning.
This ensures guests have plenty of corridor space to walk as well as keeps housekeeper safe.
Reports maintenance requests promptly and utilizes maintenance ticket system.
Turns in articles left in rooms and registers them accordingly in Lost & Found Logbook.
Maintains clean and orderly cart and vacuum cleaner to maximize job efficiency.
Treats vacuum cleaners with respect, avoiding vacuuming over cords and damaging guest room furniture.
Reports all DO NOT DISTURB or bolted door rooms to supervisor to ensure guest safety and maximize guest satisfaction.
Checks cart stock to determine adequacy for day's work.
Re-stocks housekeeping cart as needed.
Pulls damaged and/or stained linen and returns it to the laundry reclaim area.
Locks linen closets after each use, to ensure maximum safety and security at all times.
Acquires working knowledge of the property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
Keeps immediate superior promptly and full informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
Performs other duties as requested or required.
Job Duties Ability to accept directions and priorities from supervisor and reliably follow-through on tasks.
Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guest.
Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interacts easily with strangers.
Ability to cooperate and support others.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Ability to safely work with cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals including:
vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, etc.
Ability to clean rooms in the allotted time given by supervisor.
Ability to clean 10-15 guest rooms daily depending on hotel status.
Good hand dexterity required to dust, polish, make beds, fold towels, etc.
Grooming and uniform standards must meet Employee Handbook Standards.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
