Schedule appointments and gather patient information Answer phones and respond appropriately Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them - in person and on the telephone Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information Maintain the reception areas in an orderly manner Create a patient-friendly environment Protect patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information Obtain incoming faxes - assign and label them accordingly and then upload into patients electronic medical record Assist with securing outbound referrals Input medical history accurately in the electronic medical record system Supply cross coverage as needed for the Receptionist and feel confident in performing the job duties outlined in the Receptionist job description Follow policies, procedures, and protocols; reporting needed changes Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully an individual must be organized and computer-savvy, able to maintain spreadsheets and databases, and competent in electronic medical records and other paperwork.
Additionally, the individual should be experienced in customer service, have excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and telephone skills.
