This full-time lumberyard assistant/delivery driver position will give you the opportunity to hone your knowledge of the lumber business while providing our customers with the best customer service in the state! A clean driving record is a must.
Applicants should be able to lift 80 pounds.
PURPOSE:
Perform duties pertaining to lumberyard maintenance and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Maintain and organize inventory in lumberyard and associated warehouse Assist customers with loading building materials in all weather conditions Unload freight from vendors and distributors Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
Maintain logs of equipment repair status Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
Other duties may be assigned COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of company products Good customer service and communications skills High level of organizational skills Math skills required Ability to work independently Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Clean driving record.
A drug test will be administered prior to employment.
