The Security Technician I-III installs, programs, maintains, and repairs security alarm wiring and equipment and ensures work is in accordance with relevant codes for Integrated Security Solutions, INC.
While ISS is based out of Kalispell, Montana, our organization operates on jobsites in all 50 states, four U.
S.
territories, and internationally based on awarded contracts.
Technicians are required to travel to jobsites as assigned to perform installations of security systems.
This position is 95-100% travel.
All travel related expenses are covered by ISS including lodging, airfare, vehicle expenses and transportation.
Essential Duties Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other areas as required.
Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, then position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping.
Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met.
Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical and telephone wiring in order to connect components.
Mount raceways and conduits, and fasten wires to wood framing, using staplers.
Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.
Keep informed of new products and developments.
Request orders for replacement parts.
Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
Extensive travel is required for this position.
All expenses are paid for or reimbursed by the company.
Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and network related problems encountered by end-users of the network.
Has a clear understanding of IPV4 and how to assign a computer an IP address.

Ability to discuss unusual of complex problems encountered with Project Superintendent or Crew Chief.
Education and Experience Required - High school diploma or equivalent Required - Valid driver's license and real ID following May 7th, 2025 Preferred - 2 years of intermediate experience with cable installing, electrical work, access control installation, intrusion detection, and/or video surveillance installation Physical Requirements Standing/Walking - Frequently (above 90%) Crouching/Kneeling - Frequently (above 90%) Sitting - Occasionally (50% or less) Lifting up to 25 lbs - Frequently (above 90%) Lifting up to 50 lbs - Regularly (Above 50%) Exposure to inclement weather below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit - Regularly (Above 50%) Climbing - Frequently (Above 90%) Bending, twisting, pulling and reaching - Frequently (Above 90%) Use of personal protective and safety equipment is required; including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, fall protection, and closed-toe shoes.

Additional Requirements Security technicians assigned to international contracts will be required to obtain all necessary documents to be able to travel to jobsites located outside of the United States.
ISS will cover any expenses associated with obtaining required documents.
Security technicians are required to maintain necessary documents need to be able to travel.
Technicians are responsible for maintaining active documentation in suitable condition for travel.
Security technicians must be eligible to obtain a U.
S security clearance upon hire.
ISS will coordinate and cover expenses associate with obtaining a U.
S.
security clearance.
